Email etiquette

Over these few weeks we have been learning about email etiquette. We had to learn not to use slang, caps, etc. We also had to email the teacher that was taking our it lesson  just for fun. We watched some videos on what we must remember when emailing a teacher. These points are

• Address your teacher by full name
• Make a subject line with subject and task
• Make sure your email is short and too the point
• Don't use slang, all caps and texting language
• Sign letter off by typing sincerely and your full name

These lessons have been really helpful and this is good information to keep in mind when sending an email to a teacher.

Wondering about Wonder

These past terms we have been reading a book called Wonder. It is a very interesting book. The author of this book is Raquel J. Palacio. The book is about a boy who has a deformed face. He has never gone to a real school before and from finally in grd5 he goes to a real school.

 What stood out the most for me was that August tried to make friends and he did not give up even when things went wrong. I feel the story has made me more grateful for what I have and to not judge people.

 I feel I am more like Summer because I like making new friends and she is thoughtful of other people.

I enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to read the bonus chapter about Julian. I recommend this book for people grd6 and up. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Rainbow Drop

For our project we had to come up with our own superhero or villain. We had to give them powers and a name. I was in team with Jozlyn and we made a superhero called Rainbow Drop who cane shoot rainbows out of her hands that can wrap  around villains.She had a blue suit with black boots and she has a rainbow belt. She also has a symbol on the front of her suit to symbolize her name. Her hair is blonde with streaks of rainbow colors in her hair. We had to make our character out of Plasticine. We also had to paint a background scene. Once we were done with that and our character we had to do  a stop motion. We had a villain made out of cotton wool and we named him Cronk the cloud. The filming part is quite hard because out character kept on falling over and the camera kept on moving. This project is very fun because you can be creative.

Im tips with Grade 4

On Wednesday we explain to the grade 4's how to be careful when instant messaging. We told them that it can go wrong because you can't hear the tone when you send the message. I said we could use emojis to help show the facial expression. We also explained that you can not see the body language so you could take it the wrong way. We all got put into partners. we also warned them about how they must not send any personal info to people they don't know because they could say they are 11 but they could actually be 45. We made a presentation with all the info on it. 

My dreams for 2017

One of my dreams is to go to Thailand. I would also like to get a pug. I would like to dance really well. I would like to carry on surfing better. Another dream is to go and snorkel in Mauritius. I would like to grow my hair longer. I wish I can be better at hurdles. I would like to do the eistedford in dancing.I would like to meet Bethany Hamilton. I would like to go to Australia for a holiday again.

They are as bouncey  as bunnies 

Their bodies are pink like the flowers in the summer 

Their oinks are as squeaky as the birds in the morning 

They are cute like puppies
